Ulla Lundgren~ Ulla Lundgren is a Certified Anusara® Yoga Teacher and a native of Sweden. She started practicing yoga in 1989 and completed her first yoga teachers training in 1995. Ulla is the founder of The Yoga Experience, a thriving Anusara Yoga studio in Flagstaff AZ. She teaches weekly classes in Bend OR as well as workshops, immersions, and teacher’s trainings in both the U.S. and abroad. Drawing inspiration from her brilliant teachers, John Friend, founder of Anusara® Yoga, and Dr. Douglas Brooks, one of the world’s foremost scholars of Hindu Tantrism and the esoteric traditions of the Goddess, Ulla integrates yoga philosophy, myths, and stories into her classes. Bonnie LaMont~ Integral yoga
Rebecca Hibbard~Lured by sunshine and mountain bike trails, Rebecca moved to Bend from Anchorage, AK in 1998. She reconnected with yoga in 2000, while attending classes at the O.S.C. led by the pastor of the Spiritual Awareness Community. After spending the next 8 years studying and practicing yoga, Rebecca decided to take the next step and teach. She received her teacher training in Hatha basedVinyasa yoga, and teaches yoga as a way to move in meditation. She currently teaches many sports groups in Bend, including the MBSEF snowboard team, and the Fleet Feet running group. As a former competitive athlete, she understands how important it is for athletes to take time out of the competing mindset, and focus on the mind and body connection. Christina LaRue~Christina is a Florida native who moved to Bend just shy of four years ago. While rediscovering her love for yoga, she realized that she was destined to teach and share the gift of yoga with others. Christina earned her 200 Hour Hatha Yoga certification through Central Oregon Community College and is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT). Christina fell in love with the Sivananda Hatha style and incorporates it into each of her classes. She believes that everyone can benefit from yoga, not just in the sense of the body, but the mind and spirit as well.
Ivy Kosmides~Iyengar, Vinyasa yoga
Maureen Mauer~Maureen Mauer has been a yoga student and educator of hatha yoga, prenatal, and therapeutic yoga since 1985. Over the years she has worked with a vast number of students encompassing a broad spectrum of capabilities and conditions. She is a certified yoga teacher , Arthritis Foundation exercise instructor, and member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT). Maureen teaches small group classes and privates sessions which address students specific needs and wishes, as well as general population classes. She would like to offer a heart felt thanks to the many students and teachers who have been so generous and instructive throughout the years. In addition to continuing her yoga studies , she is also a student and practicioner of herbalism, energy medicine and water (aqua) based therapeutics. Debra Sanford – In 2001, Debra combined her master’s degree in gerontology with yoga and occupational therapy to develop an energizing flow for seniors. Debra enjoyed teaching yoga throughout Southern California for over 10 years before relocating to Bend in 2007. In 2008, she collaborated with Central Oregon Community College to offer the first yoga teacher training and successfully graduated over 30 new yoga teachers to the area. Debra has taught a variety of classes but prefers to teach a heart opening style called Anahata yoga that enhances inner peace and physical well-being. She has over 2000 hours of documented teaching experience and currently registered with Yoga Alliance at the E-RYT 500 level. Personally, she believes that yoga can be incorporated into every lifestyle and that each level lends itself naturally towards healing and longevity.
